BackgroundGlobal Village Network is a charitable trust supporting local initiatives in rural Africa to alleviate poverty.Community groups and individual initiatives can improve life in rural Africa. However, people are often unable to access the resources, knowledge and support that they need to implement their ideas but to build international links to support such local initiatives through building fundraising links with schools and local communities in the UK Village-To-Village, Global Village Network Uganda and Village-To-Village Tanzania linked as partner organizations to take active and effective action.
GVN also links prospective volunteers to the organization who will benefit from their skills and participation with the aim that both the volunteers and the hosts will be enriched by such an exchange which will further contribute towards the development of education standards, health, sustainable agriculture and small and medium enterprises
